Admission Policy

Admission Procedure:

  • Initial meeting with the Admission Councillors for information and briefing.
  • If satisfied, obtain the Admission Form from the Admission Office.
  • Fill the Admission Form and attach copies of all the required academic and other documents.
  • Submit the completed Admission Form in the Admission Office on or before the due date.
  • On the date of submission bring original documents for verification. After verification the original documents shall be returned. “Submitting only copies of the documents shall not be accepted”.
  • The eligible applicants shall be given date of test and an interview.
  • The successful applicants shall be called for a meeting with the Admission Committee.
  • All available seats shall be filled on the merit basis in each of the available faculty.
  • Only applicants accepted for admission shall be issued fee challan.
  • Deposit the fee challan amount in the designated bank within the validity date.
  • As per the directives of Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, 10% deserving applicants selected on merit shall be given “Full Freeship” subject to the satisfactory performance and results and as per rules of the department during the tenure of their studies with the college. In order to be eligible for the Freeship/Tuition Fee Waiver, the deserving applicants will need to prove that they are unable to pay the tuition fee.

Criteria of Admission:

  • A minimum of 45% marks in all subjects in Secondary School Certificate is required to be eligible to apply for admission in Class XI.
  • For O-Level students seeking admission, students must have cleared eight subjects, including compulsory subjects; English, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies and Urdu with a minimum of “C Grade or above” in all subjects to apply for admission in Class XI.
  • O-Level students shall also be required to provide Equivalence Certificate.
  • The merit list shall be made keeping in view the admission test result, interview, and previous academic record/marks.

Documentation:

  • Latest photographs
  • NADRA B Form or computerized National Identity Card (whichever is applicable).
  • Father/Mother/Guardian CNIC
  • Marks sheet of last final examination
  • Provisional/ Hope certificate from last institution attended
  • Migration Certificate (for students other than Karachi Board)
  • Permission Certificate (for students other than Karachi Board)
  • Equivalence Certificate (O-level students)
  • Gap Permission Certificate (for students with more than five years’ gap from last attempted examination)

Withdrawal and Cancellation:

  • Withdrawal from admission in the College, for whatever reason, will NOT result in any refund of charges or fees paid.
  • Removal of a student from a course of study or college may be necessary where there is unsatisfactory performance and/or involvement in any disciplinary, unethical, political or criminal issue and activity detrimental to the college or its students or staff. In such cases, this will NOT result in any refund of charges or fees paid.
  • Once a student is withdrawn/ removed from a course of study, the student will not be allowed to apply for re-admission.

Promotion to Class XII:

  • All students shall be promoted to the next class on merit and on the basis of examination results.
  • If a student has unsatisfactory results in three or more subjects, s/he will be required to repeat those subjects and will only be promoted when these subjects are passed.

Government Regulatory Authorities:

The college strictly follows the rules and regulations of the concerned regulatory government authorities including Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh and Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi.

Others

Any other matter shall be dealt as per the college policies and laws of the land.
